About the Role:
FC is in essence responsible for the financial reporting and compliance of the company, oversees accounting activities, ensures that ledgers accurately reflect money coming in and out of the company, ensures high quality and accuracy of internal and external reporting, in addition to tax compliance, external audits, and due diligence.
Controlling is more concerned with ensuring that recorded data is accurate, on time, and within the rules set by the company. When there’s a discrepancy in the books, the controllers should spot it, figure out what happened, and follow up with the parties involved until it gets resolved. They’re also typically in charge of policies and procedures to ensure that the right transactions are made by employees.
What You'll Do:
- Be responsible for the timely preparation and interpretation of all financial information, including financial statements, system ledgers, and other reports as required.
- Have knowledge of multi-market financials Consolidation on the market level and group level. Knowledgeable about the consolidated financial statements and adjustments required for it.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations, and G/L analysis.
- Perform analytical reviews of the monthly operating results to ensure the reasonability and accuracy of reports.
- Preparation and maintenance of required reconciliations, schedules, subsidiary ledgers, job cost adjustments, Intercompany reconciliations, and journal entries in support of financial statement assertions.
- Establishes and maintains strong accounting controls sufficient to ensure compliance with the regulations and mandates of all governing bodies, both internal and external.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls without sacrificing efficiency and scalability.
- Coordinate the preparation of audits and tax returns with 3rd party consultants.
- Assure timely responses to internal and external audit recommendations. Assures that corrective action plans are developed and implemented where needed
- Comply with tax requirements, enforce adherence to requirements, file financial reports, and advise management on needed actions.
- Evaluate the current state of accounting and financial systems; ensure that the company is using the right systems for optimal efficiency.
- Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or company-wide improvements, through research, planning, and implementation, as needed.
What You'll Need:
- Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
- Preference will be given to candidates with professional certifications like ACCA, CPA, or CMA.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency in Google Work Suite, particularly Google Sheets.
- Experience with finance reporting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
