About the Role:

The Head of Operations & Supply will play a key leadership role in Trella’s mission to redefine logistics. This individual will be responsible for optimizing marketplace performance, maximizing fleet utilization, and ensuring high levels of supplier retention. You will develop and implement strategies to increase operational efficiency, expand our fleet capabilities, and deliver exceptional results for our marketplace and rental operations.

In this highly visible and impactful position, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product and technology, to enhance operational systems and improve carrier tech adoption. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a deep understanding of the trucking and logistics landscape, strong strategic vision, and exceptional analytical and management skills.

What You'll Do:

• Fleet and Marketplace Optimization
  You will drive Trella’s fleet and marketplace performance by maximizing fleet utilization, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring carriers achieve optimal earnings. A key focus will be on analyzing operational and market trends to implement innovative strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall profitability. By balancing carrier satisfaction with Trella’s financial objectives, you will ensure marketplace fulfillment rates, on-time delivery metrics, and margins consistently meet or exceed targets.
• Supplier Acquisition and Retention
  A critical aspect of this role involves acquiring and retaining the best suppliers in the market to meet Trella’s growing fleet expansion and marketplace needs. You will establish strong partnerships with fleet owners and carriers, creating value-driven relationships that foster long-term collaboration.
• Operational Infrastructure and Scalability
  To ensure sustainable growth, you will build robust and scalable operating systems that streamline Trella’s operations. This includes defining and implementing best practices, operational workflows, and processes that enhance efficiency and set the foundation for future scalability.
• Technology Adoption
  In partnership with product and tech teams, you will drive adoption of Trella’s technology solutions by internal teams (such as operations and the control tower) and external stakeholders, specifically carriers. By identifying pain points and providing solutions, you will ensure Trella’s tools are seamlessly integrated and widely utilized.
• Leadership and Strategic Vision
  As a senior leader, you will set the strategic direction for Trella’s operations and supply function. This includes building and mentoring a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, and aligning operational goals with broader company objectives. Your ability to think strategically and execute operationally will be crucial in achieving success.
  

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field. An MBA from a well-renowned university is a significant plus.
• A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the trucking or logistics industry, with a proven track record of operational leadership.
  
• Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian logistics landscape, including supplier dynamics and market trends.
• Exceptional management skills, with the ability to lead, inspire, and develop large, cross-functional teams.
• Strong strategic skills to set clear goals and align them with company objectives.
• Analytical and problem-solving expertise, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies
• A results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
