About the Role:
We are looking for a results-driven Sales Executive to join our Cross-Border Land Freight team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales within the logistics or freight industry, with a focus on securing high-value clients, particularly direct manufacturers and large shippers. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and ensuring smooth execution of cross-border freight operations. This is an individual contributor role, where you will be responsible for building the sales foundation for the UAE business and eventually scale up the team.
What You'll Do:
- Own, manage, and grow client accounts, ensuring high retention rates through upselling and cross-selling logistics solutions.
- Own and execute KPIs focused on lead generation, opportunity conversion, closure, and collection, ensuring consistent sales performance.
- Identify and acquire new customers, focusing on manufacturers, distributors, and large shippers requiring cross-border trucking solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers in logistics and supply chain departments.
- Emphasize product features and benefits, demonstrating how our solutions effectively address customer needs.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding Trella’s products and services, providing clear, value-driven explanations.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with clients to maximize profitability.
- Engage in effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders across different teams to ensure seamless execution of deals.
- Collaborate with sales management and sales operations to set strategies and implement best practices across territories/markets.
- Utilize sales CRM tools to track leads and manage the sales pipeline effectively.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain CRM records for pipeline management.
- A Minimum Degree Required is a Bachelor in Business and/or Supply Chain or equivalent
- The candidate is required to be Customer Centric, Process Driven and can follow tight deadlines
- Experience working closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders including operations, marketing, and customer service teams
- Market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory requirements for cross-border freight in the GCC.
What You'll Need:
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in a commercial environment, with a strong background in sales and business development within the logistics or freight industry.
- Customer-centric and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills are essential, and candidates will be required to deliver a DEMO as part of the hiring process.
- Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including operations, marketing, and customer service teams.
- In-depth knowledge of cross-border trucking operations in the GCC, particularly between KSA, UAE, and neighboring countries.
- Established network of clients, particularly direct shippers and manufacturers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strategic approach to sales and client relationship management.
- Experience with sales CRM platforms (e.g., Freshsales, Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline management and performance tracking.
